SS4 method must be done if the application is not accepted through online application. This usually happens if the error is Duplicate Name (101-error LLC, Corporation, partnership, Trust, and Estate), customer has an ITIN instead of an SSN. We will need to ask the customer to sign the link attached to the email we sent them and ask them for additional documents. Once we have gathered all the documents needed, we will have to start the faxing process of the application. See below for the step-by-step process:
Step 1 - Customer needs to sign the form
Step 2 - Send the articles of the org
-upload it on the app
-update the status (reason into SS4 Method)
Step 3 - Start faxing the documents
Inform the cx that we started the faxing process-it will take 20-25 days
Note: If after 15 business days no EIN yet, escalate it to Shane for EIN lookup -this is only applicable if the customer will reach out to us to check their EIN application status. (Put the ticket on hold)
We email the customer after faxing the documents.
