If customers misplaced their EIN, they can look for it on the notice sent to them by the IRS when their EIN was issued. They can also try to recover it by contacting the financial institution where they do their day-to-day banking. Or they can also find it on their previous tax returns. If all else fails, contact the IRS' Business & Specialty Tax Line at 1-800-829-4933. They have to make sure they have any identifying information on hand before they speak to an operator.
If a customer placed an order with us and they want to retrieve their old EIN number, we do offer that service. Follow the steps below for our EIN Lookup service:
Step 1 - Change the assignee in the app to EIN Lookup Step 1 - tell them their fee is applied and send them the link to sign. The link can be found in the Order App.

Step 2 - Once the customer signed the form and filled out all the information needed, change the assignee to EIN Look up Step 3 - Ready to call the IRS and assign it to Shane.
Step 3 - Change the reason in the Order App to EIN Lookup.
